Ben Affleck and Matt Damon arrived at the premiere for the HBO series Project Greenlight on Monday night in Los Angeles
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon both arrived at the premiere of HBO series Project Greenlight by Adaptive Studios on Monday night in Los Angeles, California – with Affleck continuing to wear his wedding ring.
Affleck, 42, appeared jovial as he walked the red carpet at the Ace Hotel, dressed in a blue suit with no tie and displaying facial hair. He did not stop to answer questions from reporters, but managed to sign his autograph on a Daredevil poster, as he shared a laugh with fans to say, “You guys are crazy,” an onlooker tells PEOPLE.
It’s not the first time the actor has been seen wearing his wedding band since he and estranged wife Jennifer Garner announced their plans to divorce after ten years of marriage.
While Affleck managed to avoid any questions on the red carpet, Matt Damon did speak about how is friend is doing, saying: “He’s great, he’s great. He’s got a big smile on his face.”
Talking about Affleck’s upcoming birthday on Aug. 15, Damon joked: ” Yeah, I wish him well, but he’s forty-three, it’s kind of like, meh. What is forty-three? It’s not forty, it’s not forty-five, it’s forty-three. It’s a forgettable birthday.”
On Friday, Affleck was seen sporting his wedding ring as he returned to Atlanta to be with Garner and their children, Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3.
Allegations recently surfaced that Affleck was having an affair with the family nanny Christine Ouzounian, 28, something that he strongly denies.
Affleck and Garner, 43, announced that they would be divorcing in June.
“After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce,” the couple told PEOPLE in a joint statement. “We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding.”
