When The Weeknd was casting the part of the femme fatale in his latest music video, he didn’t have to look far.

The pop star tapped his girlfriend Bella Hadid to play the sexy but deadly dancer in his “In The Night” video, directed by BRTHR.

In the clip, which plays like a Michael Jackson video from the 1980s, Hadid faces off against a group of seedy characters who infiltrate her night club.

At one point, the 19-year-old model appeared to be taken hostage, as a cigarette-smoking man asked, “are you afraid?”

The bloody montage doesn’t feature a helpless starlet waiting to be rescued, however – in fact, it’s just the opposite.

As The Weeknd – who spends most of the video singing in the rain – is held at gunpoint, Hadid shoots his captor, before unleashing a fury of violence in the club and riding off together on a motorcycle.

It’s been a busy week for the 25-year-old Canadian crooner. On Tuesday night, his performance at the 2015 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show aired, while, the morning before, it was revealed he’s up for an impressive seven Grammy nominations.

In addition to an album of the year nod for Beauty Behind the Madness, The Weeknd is also in the running for record of the year for “Can’t Feel My Face.”
