Former Baywatch babe Brooke Burns was hospitalized after diving into her backyard pool and hitting her head last Friday, says her agent.

Burns, 27, broke a bone in her neck and required “minor surgery,” spokeswoman Jennifer Glassman tells the Associated Press. The actress is expected to be released from Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Tuesday.

“There’s no permanent damage,” Glassman said. “She will begin work as scheduled in January.”

Burns, who also hosted Dog Eat Dog, is set to costar with Rebecca Romijn in the new WB series, Pepper Dennis.
