In yet another shift, “Baywatch” is off to the beaches of Australia again after the Teamsters labor union reportedly refused to take a pay cut to allow filming in Hawaii. Producers for the syndicated program based in Santa Monica, Calif., have been seeking a new location for the series in an effort to breathe new life into its story lines. The choice was between Hawaii and Australia. Recently, however, one resort Down Under ran the production crew out of town rather than have its oceanside charms blemished by the appearance of a TV cast — even one as scenic as “Baywatch.”
