Balthazar Getty's Wife Forgives His Affair with Sienna Miller
"We're better than we've ever been," the actor says of reconciling with Rosetta
They’re trying again.
“Here’s the bottom line: It was a very challenging time for everybody involved, but I loved and missed my family too much not to make it work,” the actor, 35, tells Harper’s Bazaar in its October issue, on newsstands Sept. 28. “Rosetta is understanding enough and spiritual enough to let us try.”
Of life with his wife and their four children now, Getty says: “I feel like we’re better than we’ve ever been.”
By all accounts, Getty’s affair after eight years of marriage – captured in photos of him and (and often-topless) Miller cavorting in Italy – was devastating for Rosetta. She now says her children were foremost in her mind when she chose to reconcile.
“I’m going to have to explain this to my daughters one day,” she says. “I chose not to act from ego because I just felt like it would be too crushing for my children.”
Rosetta also feels a responsibility to help other families who are dealing with similar issues. “I’m open to talking about it because I believe we go through things in a public way to help other people get through it,” she says. “I’d love to talk about it more with people when I’m clearer about it.”
Ultimately, she says, “we’ll always have to love each other through our ups and downs. We have to support each other.”
