PRESENTING MR. & MRS.
They did! Bachelor in Paradise‘s Jade Roper and Tanner Toblert tied the knot at California’s scenic St. Regis Monarch Beach on Jan. 24 in front of 150 family members and friends (including many fellow Bachelor stars). “It blew my mind,” Roper told PEOPLE exclusively of her big day, which will be televised at 8 p.m. ET on Valentine’s Day as part of ABC’s special honoring 20 seasons of The Bachelor. “I loved the mood. It was exactly the way I had envisioned it.”
Roper’s picture-perfect look came together with the help of Sally Hershberger on hair, Stila Cosmetics on makeup, a Perfect Details hairpiece and garter and Hey Lady shoes (she got ready wearing a Love Ophelia robe). But it was her custom Galia Lahav gown that stole the spotlight. “She looked gorgeous,” Tolbert said. “It was a mix of elegance and sexiness.”
OH SO PRETTY
Flower Me Wild covered the ceremony and reception spaces in gorgeous blooms, and created the bride and bridesmaids’ soft pink bouquets.
The bridesmaids’ gold and blush gowns were designed by Kelly Faetanini, and complemented with Stella amp Dot jewels. During the ceremony, bridesmaid Carly Waddell, Roper and Tolbert’s Paradise costar, performed a song she wrote for the couple. “It was so beautiful,” said Roper. “That’s a gift I’ll have forever.” (Recording artist Matt Nathanson performed, too.)
TO HAVE & TO HOLD
Chris Harrison officiated the nuptials, as he has done for several past Bachelor weddings, and the bride and groom said vows they wrote themselves. “I was just trying not to cry,” Tolbert (in a Madison James tux) said. “It was such a crazy rush of emotions.”
WITH THIS RING ...
The couple’s wedding bling came courtesy of longtime Bachelor friend Neil Lane, who helped create a sparkly band to complement Roper’s unique engagement ring. He also outfitted the bride in $250,000 worth of jewels, including handmade diamond earrings and brilliant bangles.
Sweet E’s Bake Shop provided one of the night’s centerpieces, a white almond raspberry and chocolate raspberry truffle cake. Equally sweet: printed materials like the invitation and menus, all done by Minted. BTB Event Production and Found Rentals contributed furniture and basics for the big day.
It wouldn’t be a Bachelor bash without some surprises! Seal stepped on stage to serenade the newlyweds with “Kiss from a Rose” for their first dance. “It was awesome,” said Tolbert. Added Roper: “When he walked out, it was all foggy – all you could see was a silhouette. Then the song hit and I couldn’t believe it was happening. That was a really cool moment.”
SLICE OF LIFE
As the party kicked into gear, “I just wanted everyone to let loose and have fun,” Roper said. Mission accomplished. In addition to dancing the night away, guests posed for snaps in a custom Wife of the Party photo booth with an ocean backdrop. (The wedding favors, Mexican chocolate by Taza Chocolate and coffee and mugs by Revolve Promo, were also a nod to Roper and Tolbert’s romantic beginnings.) “We shut it down!” Roper added. “We didn’t go to bed until 3 a.m. The whole weekend was a whirlwind.”
“Jade is the woman I always envisioned,” Tolbert told PEOPLE. “She makes every day more fun.” Added Roper: “It’s crazy how marriage does change everything. We’re a family now. And it feels like everything is complete.”
