The Bush family’s most eligible bachelor – presidential nephew George Prescott Bush – seems to have found true love and wants to “start a family as soon as possible,” reports PEOPLE.

The recent University of Texas Law School grad was in Washington on Friday with his girlfriend of two years, Amanda Williams, to support the Committee for Justice, a group that backs the President’s’s judicial choices, and the younger Bush (who’s the son of Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Mexican-born Columba Bush), says he plans to work for his uncle’s re-election campaign.

Bush, 27, and Williams, also a University of Texas Law School grad, will both be taking the bar in Texas in the next month, and he says he intends to practice in Texas. She intends to become a litigator.

When asked if his plans include entering politics, Bush said, “My grandmother (Barbara Bush), who I always seek advice from, told me that before you enter politics — or even think about entering politics — you should distinguish yourself outside of politics by doing something in the business world or any other world.

“Make a name for yourself, have a family, marry someone great, have some kids, buy a house, pay taxes, and do the things everyone also does instead of just running out and saying, ‘Hey, I’m the nephew of or the son of or the grandson of…”

Bush met Williams in a trial advocacy class at the University of Texas Law School. He sat behind her and passed notes during class, asking her if she wanted to play golf with him.

His “most eligible” status and mention as one of PEOPLE’s top Bachelors in 2000 didn’t bother Williams, he said. “It was hard at first, but she’s a very level-headed person so it hasn’t really been that much of an issue.”

Without revealing wedding plans, Bush told PEOPLE that he and Williams hope to start a family “as soon as possible. I’m very excited to. I want a lot of kids.”
