The diagnosis is in for pop star Austin Mahone, who was rushed to the hospital Thursday after feeling ill.
The teen pop star “was admitted to the hospital with 104 temperature and is being treated for a blood clot and extreme inflammation in his throat, as well as severe dehydration,” his rep tells PEOPLE.
Mahone, 17, previously posted a photo of himself in his hospital gown on Instagram, captioning the image, “I’ve never felt so bad.”
Plans to postpone Mahone’s tour to 2014 still stand, as an official statement confirmed Thursday that he “is now on strict doctor’s orders to stay on rest.”
