It’s official – Audrina Patridge is engaged!

The former Hills star is engaged to longtime boyfriend (and professional BMX dirt bike rider) Corey Bohan, PEOPLE can exclusively confirm. The pair have been dating on-and-off since 2008.

Patridge, 30, tells PEOPLE that Bohan asked her father about the proposal three weeks ago before making reservations on Friday night at the Summit House in Orange County, California, where her family also happened to have reservations for later that night.

“When Corey found out he told my brother what his plan was and they sat in the dining area so I wouldn’t see them,” Patridge says. “Corey pulled it off pretty well. Although I noticed he didn’t really eat dinner.

“When dessert time came he ordered cheesecake and the waiter brought it out on a platter with a beautiful silver cover,” she continued. “I noticed all the waitresses gathering with phones and thought, What is going on! Then all of a sudden the waiter lifted the silver cover and I saw the ring in a box with white rose petals on the plate.”

Patridge says, “Then Corey dropped to his knee and said, ‘We have been together for many years now and I love you more than anything. I want to spend the rest of my life with you – will you marry me?’ I was in shock and kind of didn’t even hear him but I said yes!”

Patridge also shared a shot of her beautiful ring, which Bohan had made in Australia, on her blog.

Afterwards Patridge’s family popped out from another part of the restaurant and the group celebrated with champagne.

Patridge will be the last of the main Hills cast members to get engaged. Heidi Montag married costar Spencer Pratt on the show in 2009 while Kristin Cavallari tied the knot with NFL player Jay Cutler in June 2013. In September 2014, Lauren Conrad said “I Do” to William Tell and Whitney Port recently celebrated her nuptials with former The City producer Tim Rosenman earlier this this month.
