Before Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher took their longstanding friendship to the next level, the Bad Moms star reveals that her now-husband had plans to set her up with someone else.

The 32-year-old actress got personal with James Corden during an appearance on The Late Late Show Monday night, explaining that although the That ’70s Show pals kept in touch after the show wrapped, it wasn’t until they were both single and ran into one another at an awards show that Kunis started feeling something more toward the 38-year-old actor.

“That moment that you hear or see in movies when your heart skips a beat? It happened with Ashton,” Kunis said of their awards show reunion. “It was the weirdest thing – I was like, ‘This isn’t happening.’ ”

However, Kutcher initially had other plans for his longtime pal when they reunited at that awards show.

“I found out later in life that my husband was trying to set me up on a blind date with one of his friends that night,” Kunis explained. “So he was like ‘come over’ and he had a friend he wanted to set me up with and that didn’t happen.”

Don’t feel too bad for the unnamed friend – he ended up dating someone Kutcher had previously gone on a date with.

“It’s all meant to be,” Kunis said. “It’s all good.”

Eventually, the two began a red-hot romance that mirrored the plots of their films Friends with Benefits and No Strings Attached.

“We clearly didn’t watch the end of our movies,” Kunis joked.

Later in the show, the pregnant actress – already a mom to 21-month-old daughter Wyatt – spilled some very personal details about her husband.

Asked whether Ashton was a “carrot stick” or a “beer can,” she choose the latter.

“Like a Guinness,” the Bad Moms star joked.
