Ashton Kutcher is heading back to the big screen: He’s in talks to star as a suicidal young man in the drama Random Acts of Kindness, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
In the script by Joshua Safran (From Here to Where You’re Going), Kutcher’s character is rescued by a reclusive but inspirational novelist.
The That ’70s Show star, 26, most recently completed the A Lot Like Love for British director Nigel Cole (Calendar Girls).
In other movie news, fans of the American Pie should be gladdened by the news that director Steve Rash is at work on American Pie 4: Band Camp, for possible release next summer.
Mentioned to star are relative newcomers Arielle Kebbel, Richard Keith and Laura Mayhew, as well as Pie veteran Eugene Levy.
As with Random Acts of Kindness, no start date has been announced.
