“Someone Like You” star Ashley Judd is marrying her someone this week. The actress, 33, and Scottish racing driver Dario Franchitti, 28, having publicly announced their engagement last April, are to be privately married in Scotland Dec. 12, the Associated Press quotes Dornoch local registrar Lesley Connor as saying. No details have been released concerning the precise site of the ceremony. Originally, the two had set upon marrying in the Scottish town of Bonar Bridge on Jan. 31. (Last Dec. 22, Madonna and Guy Ritchie married in Dornoch, at the 200-room Skibo Castle.) “I hope that the people who come north will receive true Highland hospitality, which includes not interfering with their privacy,” Dornoch councilor Duncan Allan told the AP. Judd, one of PEOPLE’s 50 Most Beautiful in 1996 and 2000 and 25 Most Intriguing of 1999, is, respectively, the daughter and sister of country singers Naomi and Wynonna Judd. (Ashley’s father, Michael Ciminella, a marketing specialist in the horseracing industry, divorced Naomi in 1972.) She reportedly dated Robert DeNiro and Matthew McConaughey, among others, before meeting Franchitti in October 1999. They became engaged last December, but kept that a secret until last spring. Franchitti has been racing since childhood, having won his first championship, the 1984 Scottish Junior Karting title, at age 11.
