Ashley Judd set the plastic surgery rumor mill into motion this week, when she appeared on a Canadian talk show to promote her new TV series, Missing, looking a little … well, bloated.

The typically svelte actress‘s face was noticeably puffy during her appearance, sparking speculation that she had undergone a cosmetic procedure.

But that’s not the case, according to her rep.

“Ashley has been battling an ongoing, serious sinus infection and flu,” the rep, Cara Tripicchio, told E! News, adding that Judd has “been on a heavy dose of medication to overcome it.”

Judd, 43, also addressed the rumors on Twitter, saying that the steroids she had been prescribed to battle her condiiton were to blame for her puffy appearance.

“Thanks to all asking how I’ve been feeling, still very sick (flu + viral infection in sinuses = wicked) but staying positive & having fun,” she Tweeted Wednesday.
