Arrest in Littleton
Investigators in the Columbine High School massacre said that Littleton resident Mark Edward Manes, 22, was arrested on suspicion of providing a handgun to a juvenile in connection with the April 20 murder spree. A Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department spokesman said that Manes turned himself in Monday and was later released from county jail on $15,000 bail. He is expected to be arraigned today. If convicted on the state felony charges, he faces from two to six years in prison and a maximum fine of $5,000.
