Arkansas nursing home operator Juanita Broaddrick, 56, wept as she alleged on NBC’s “Dateline” Wednesday night that President Clinton raped her 21 years ago. “My hatred for him is overwhelming,” she said, and went on to describe being bitten on the lip and forced into sex by the “vicious awful person” Clinton had suddenly become. The incident took place in her Little Rock hotel room in 1978, when the current President was Arkansas attorney general, she said. No prosecution against the President is possible, because the statute of limitations on rape ran out after six years. Broaddrick also said she does not seek to sue Clinton, nor does she intend to write a book. On Saturday, Clinton’s personal lawyer David Kendall said, “Any allegation that the President assaulted Ms. Broaddrick more than 20 years ago is absolutely false.”
