Anne Hathaway Takes a PEOPLE Camera to the Oscars!
THE GLAM SQUAD
She may be a work in progress – Curlers, check! Robe, check! – but Oscar presenter Anne Hathaway has plenty of stylish support to help her glam up at the Four Seasons for the big night. Hathaway documents her style adventures to benefit the charity Clothes Off Our Back.
READY, SET, ROLLING
Perhaps her time working on The Devil Wears Prada made an impression. Hathaway looks every bit the diva as hairstylist Adir Abergel, from Frederic Fekkai, gets things rolling on her red carpet-ready hair do. But to keep things loose, the actress listened to tunes by Rufus Wainwright.
Not content to just sit back and relax, Hathaway fires back – playfully, anyway – after undergoing a hair transformation, thanks to an impressive set of curlers. (She also channeled her inner-diva by singing opera arias in the shower!)
In addition to her team of stylists, Hathaway keeps another supportive guy by her side – boyfriend Raffaello Follieri, an Italian property developer. "He's brought out so many positive attributes," she gushed in a recent interview with the U.K.'s Sunday Times. "Before I met him, I wasted so much time. I was just annoying and narcissistic and smelled bad. He's protective without being possessive, passionate without needing to show his temper."
Let the makeover begin. Hathaway keeps a playful distance from her team of stylists – including makeup artist Paul Starr – as she prepares for the ceremony. Appropriately, Hathaway presented the award for Best Costume Design with her Devil Wears Prada costar Emily Blunt.
Have heels – will travel. Anne Hathaway sheds her Christian Louboutin shoes before finally suiting up for the red carpet.
ROOM WITH A VIEW
All that hard work paid off! Anne Hathaway completes her style transformation and is almost set to walk the red carpet in her Valentino gown. She also completed her look with some sparkling jewelry. On the red carpet, Hathaway admitted she was wearing "every single diamond I could find." In fact, she sported white pearl and diamond pendant earrings, diamond bracelets and a 13-carat diamond ring from Van Cleef and Arpels.
Stylist Dawn Haynes works her glamour magic, applying the finishing touches to Tracey Edmonds's Oscar-ready ensemble. With her hair and jewelry in place, Edmonds reveals her completed look – including her long, chiffon Atelier Versace gown.
A BEDAZZLING BRACELET
Rounding out her glittery ensemble, Edmonds matches her earrings with a chunky, diamond bracelet, also designed by Garrard. That wasn't the only bit of dazzling jewelry Edmonds sported: She flashed a humongous ring while on the red carpet. But Edmonds warned reporters she has no engagement plans just yet: "It's just for show," she said.
The Oscar-ready couple sure cleans up nice! Edmonds links up with boyfriend Eddie Murphy, as stylist Haynes admires her fashionable charges. Murphy also wore Versace, telling Melissa and Joan Rivers during a pre-Oscar broadcast, "They made me a nice suit."
HER CHARIOT AWAITS
It's almost Oscar time – and Edmonds and Murphy prepare to hit the road. Sticking close all night, Edmonds played the role of supportive girlfriend, barely letting go of Murphy's hand while the couple walked down the red carpet.
