She’s back!

Angelina Jolie-Pitt returned the the Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday night when she made a surprise appearance during Nickelodeon’s annual kid-focused award show.

Last year, Jolie, 40, brought along daughters Zahara, 11, and Shiloh, 9, to the award show last year when she received the award for favorite villain for her role in 2014’s Maleficent. During last year’s appearance, Jolie gave an uplifting speech about being told she was “different” when she was younger.

“I want to say when I was little, like Maleficent, I was told that I was different – and I felt out of place, and too loud, too full of fire, never good at sitting still, never good at fitting in,” she said at the time. “And then one day I realized something, something I hope you all realize. Different is good.”

Jolie’s 2015 appearance was a significant one as it was her first public outing since announcing that she had her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed after her doctors had told her that she was showing the early signs of cancer. (The actress-turned-director’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, died from ovarian cancer in 2007.)

Jolie had also undergone a preventative double mastectomy in May 2013 after genetic tests revealed she was at a high risk for both breast and ovarian cancer.
