The stylish lawyer may have upstaged the star of Tomorrowland, husband George, on the red carpet in Tokyo
Amal Clooney stole the spotlight at the Tokyo premiere of her husband’s film Tomorrowland on Monday in a yellow silk gown next to George’s classic dark suit.
The couple arrived in Tokyo on Sunday looking very happy – and much more dressed-down than they were on Monday’s red carpet. While the duo signed autographs and took selfies with fans at the airport, Amal, 37, wore a Missoni dress and wedge sandals and George, 54, kept it simple in jeans and a T-shirt promoting his own Casamigos tequila.
Amal’s taking time out of her busy schedule to jet off to Tokyo is undoubtedly part of the couple’s efforts to be together as much as possible.
“Our only adjustments are figuring out our schedules. Our deal is that we can’t be more than a week apart. So far, that’s worked out pretty well,” George recently said.
At the Disneyland premiere of Tomorrowland earlier this month, George talked to PEOPLE about how marrying the human rights lawyer has changed his life.
“All I know is that it sort of changed everything in terms of what I thought my future was going to be,” he said. “I wasn’t always completely optimistic about how it was going to work out personally for me. But now I am.”
