Adele‘s love for the Spice Girls is the gift that keeps on giving.

The 28-year-old briefly channeled the ’90s girl group during a recent performance, as captured on video and shared by actual Spice Girl Emma “Baby Spice” Bunton.

During the show, Adele danced on stage while chanting “Spice Girls!” As fans began to clap along, Adele charged, “Oh, stop it, I’m not a Spice Girl.”

She couldn’t resist singing a few bars of the band’s 1997 hit single “Spice Up Your Life,” though, and danced around while the crowd cheered.

Adele revealed her Spice Girls fandom earlier in the year when she appeared in a segment of James Corden‘s Carpool Karaoke.

“It was a huge moment in my life when they came out,” the “Hello” singer told Corden, adding, “It was these five ordinary girls that did so well.”

Corden and Adele then sang along to the Girls’ breakout hit single, “Wannabe,” but not before the star revealed that she regularly had themed parties to honor the band in her youth – and that she was a Geri Halliwell fan.

Luckily, it seems that the feeling is mutual with Ginger Spice – she re-shared the video on Twitter, writing, “Go @Adele.”
