Tom Sizemore pleaded not guilty Friday to 16 misdemeanor counts of harassing and threatening his ex-fiancee, “Hollywood Madam” Heidi Fleiss, reports the Associated Press.

The “Saving Private Ryan” and “Black Hawk Down” actor, 41, also was formally served with a protective order barring him from having any contact with Fleiss, who reportedly is a witness in another unrelated domestic-violence case against Sizemore.

The charges involving Fleiss were filed in May, after Sizemore allegedly made about 100 harassing calls to her during a one-year period. He also faces counts of vandalism, threatening to inflict injury to a person or property and corporal injury resulting in a traumatic condition, prosecutors said.

Sizemore remains free on $100,000 bail and is due back in court on June 24. He faces up to 13 years in prison if convicted of all the charges.

The New York Post reports that Sizemore purportedly vowed to attack Fleiss personally should the case move on to a court date. But his attorney, Michael Fitzgerald, told reporters outside the courtroom that the Fleiss name alone should create reasonable doubt in the mind of any potential juror.

“We’d ask you to consider the source of these allegations. And that source is Heidi Fleiss,” Fitzgerald said. “Mr. Sizemore is innocent. The charges are false.”

Immediately after entering his plea, Sizemore ran out of the court building to lean against a pillar and smoke a cigarette, the Post reports.

The actor was arrested in a domestic dispute case last December, after adult film actress Brooke Ford claimed he punched her in the face and threatened her.
