A Parton Family Feud

Dolly Parton, 55, and her nine brothers and sisters are headed to court in Tennessee to settle a dispute over the competency of their 77-year-old mother, Avie Parton, reports the Knoxville News-Sentinel. The 10 Parton children are seeking to have their mother, whom they claim is showing signs of dementia, declared incompetent so that they might take over her business affairs. But two siblings (twins Freida and Floyd Parton) have reportedly sided with Avie. At issue are cash and property said to be worth about $1 million. A trial date has yet to be set.
