Sorry, Mr. Donaghy, but it looks like your loyal assistant is otherwise engaged – literally.

Maulik Pancholy, who played Alec Baldwin’s overzealous-yet-devoted aide on 30 Rock, announced his engagement to longtime partner Ryan Corvaia on Thursday.

The duo chose quite the spot for the momentous occasion: the Taj Mahal in India.

“It only took 9 years but it’s official! Just got engaged at the Taj Mahal … YEEEESSSS!” Pancholy, who turns 40 next week, wrote on Twitter, and he shared a photo of the duo standing in front of the iconic wonder of the ancient world.

Pancholy, who is of Indian heritage, came out in November.

“I just celebrated my nine-year anniversary with my partner,” he told Out magazine. “It feels like a nice time to be celebrating something like that, especially on the heels of the DOMA and Prop 8 decisions.”

The actor, who had recurring roles in Weeds and Whitney, currently voices Sanjay on the Nickelodeon cartoon Sanjay and Craig.

Corvaia is the founder and owner of a Brooklyn-based catering and hospitality firm called Dish Food & Events, according to his Twitter page.
