The police have a duty to serve up tickets to “ruthless” bikers on the roads – even if they’re only 3 years old.

A hilarious photo of a toddler receiving a parking ticket from a local cop in Halifax, Canada swept the web after the police department posted it to Twitter and Facebook on Sunday.

In the snapshot (OK, it was staged!) the little tot, Declan Tramley, can be seen with his hand on his forehead, looking displeased, while squatting on his plastic two-wheeler as the officer kneels beside him penning his offense on the boardwalk.

“Remember, no motorcycle parking in the circle by the ferry terminal. This ruthless biker was caught yesterday!” the caption read.

“He parked his bike just like the other motorcyclists would,” the officer, Constable Shawn Currie, told ABC News. “He walked away, and we thought it would be funny if I walked over and just pretended to write him a parking ticket.”

After Declan’s dad snapped the photo of his son and Currie and sent it to the police department, the police pals quickly became Internet sensations. Declan’s mom, Lisa Tramley, “never thought it would explode,” she told ABC.

Currie said he thought the stunt would be funny, also telling CTV News that “it’s nice to show the different sides of police.”

He added, “We’re not always making arrests and hauling people away we like to have fun.”

And Declan certainly had fun staging his little run in with the law. His mother told CTV, “He loves his ticket He tried to go to bed with his ticket.”
