She's too busy dancing to get knocked off her feet

Despite outright pleading from fans, Taylor Swift hasn’t yet graced us with her sixth studio album. However, that didn’t stop her from owning 2016 with a fierceness we can only expect from one of the top stars in the game. From fashion to collaborations to awards, here are 13 ways Taylor ruled 2016 … without even releasing an album.

1. When she co-chaired the prestigious Met Gala alongside Anna Wintour

2. When she secretly co-wrote one of the biggest songs of the year, Calvin Harris and Rihanna’s “This Is What You Came For”

3. Oh, and when she also low-key wrote Little Big Town’s “Better Man”

4. When she continued to bless us with new songs, courtesy of her Zayn collaboration, “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever”

5. When she won an award that was named after her

6. When she outdid herself with 2016’s Fourth of July party

7. When she won the Grammy for Album of the Year (and collected two other awards that night)

8. When she gave us all of the Coachella goals

9. When she crashed a wedding, and it was the sweetest thing ever

10. When she gave us life with her Formula 1 show

11. When she casually locked down this major deal, and we needed to see those videos ASAP

12. When her Halloween costume was too legit to quit

13. When she was front row at the Tommy Hilfiger & Gigi Hadid fashion show, and all eyes were on her

We can’t wait to see how you continue to slay in 2017, Taylor. (But please, please, please give us an album?)
