This supermodel sells books at super-speed.

Gisele Bündchen‘s hotly anticipated, limited edition Taschen coffee-table book chronicling her 20-year fashion career sold out Thursday – a day before it even hit shelves, according to the publisher’s website.

And at $700 a copy, the glitzy tome didn’t come cheap. (Bündchen, 35, is donating the proceeds to charity.)

“The book sold out before it even was released. Gisele was shocked and so was the publisher,” a source tells PEOPLE. “Everybody thought , given the price point, that it would be a different scenario! They were getting ready to promote it for holiday.”

On Wednesday, the mom of two posted a video plugging Gisele on Instagram, promising 536 pages of iconic images from 74 photographers.

We’re guessing the glamorous nude snapshots she teased had something to do with the book’s success.

Bündchen confirmed Gisele had sold out later Thursday afternoon with another Instagram, but fans in her native Brazil are in luck: a Portugese version is being released there Friday.
