It takes a rare 13-year-old to have the life experience to write a memoir.

Maddie Ziegler is one such 13-year-old. The Dance Moms star and Sia go-to girl has penned a memoir about her early rise to fame, PEOPLE can exclusively reveal.

The Maddie Diaries will be published by Gallery Books in March 2017, documenting Ziegler’s early years on Lifetime, and sharing advice and lessons for other teens and dancers.

In addition, Ziegler – who is now a judge on the kids’ edition of So You Think You Can Dance, and Aladdin Books will release a trilogy of novels for middle grade readers, penned by the dancer.

The first book in the series, which is about a young dancer, will hit bookstores in Fall 2017, followed by numbers two and three in Fall 2018 and Fall 2019, respectively.

Ziegler’s protagonist will navigate the competitive dance circuit, while handling the woes of the average pre-teen girl.

“I’ve always been the type of person who really enjoys writing stories,” Ziegler tells PEOPLE of her foray into the literary world. “So when I found out I would be writing books, I was so excited that I got started right away!”

“Author” is just another title to add to Ziegler’s growing resume: the Pennsylvania native is set to appear in The Book of Henry, out this September. The drama, which also stars Naomi Watts and Jacob Tremblay, follows a single mother whose son is a genius.

“I’m honored to be given the chance to write about my journey,” Ziegler added in a press release from Aladdin and Gallery Books. “My hope is to inspire others to always keep dreaming and push through the hardships because it’s so worth it to find something you are truly passionate about in life. Always be brave enough to live out your dreams.”
