No makeup, no problem!

Zendaya came to the defense of YouTube beauty vlogger Shannon (a.k.a. Shaaanxo) after she was critiqued on Twitter for her makeup-free appearance.

Twitter user @Manstagram posted comparison shots of Shannon with and without makeup in a Tweet, writing, “This is why our first date is running a mile around the track to see if you sweat the makeup off.”

The Tweet obviously rubbed Zendaya the wrong way – the star threw some serious shade at the Twitter bully, responding, “That awkward moment when this tweet is irrelevant cause she’s slaying both ways #wannaborrowmyglasses.” She accompanied her Tweet with a makeup-free selfie of her own.

Shannon appreciated the Twitter love, posting, “Women who stick up for women. Thank you @Zendaya and everyone else ❤ i love you," to which Zendaya – who recently released a touching YouTube video with Welcome.us for Immigrant Heritage Month – responded with a series of kissing face emojis.

This isn’t the first time Zendaya has spoken out about appreciating and respecting women for whatever choices they make about their appearance: She publicly blasted Giuliana Rancic after the E! personality made a joke about her dreadlocks on Fashion Police.
