Comedian and YouTube star Nicole Arbour has faced major backlash after posting a video rant in which she says that “fat-shaming is not a thing.” While a slew of stars including Whitney Thore and Gabourey Sidibe have condemned Arbour, calling her “ignorant,” Wendy Williams has a different take on the controversial statements.

“A lot of what the fat-shamer said is absolutely correct. It’s just, she doesn’t need to say it,” The Wendy Williams Show host told PEOPLE Now after describing herself as a “fat girl from Jersey.”

But, Williams didn’t entirely agree with Arbour’s rant and issued one big caveat.

“What people need to understand about fat, everybody’s not fat because they eat,” the 51-year-old said. “Some people are fat because they have medical conditions.”

In the viral video, Arbour said helping the overweight is “assisted suicide.” The video has amassed more than 27 million views on Facebook and has garnered gobs of attention from social media and multiple celebs.

Williams is the latest to speak out about Arbour’s statements. But the viral video isn’t the only thing the host weighed in on to PEOPLE Now.

Her take on Jon Hamm’s split from Jennifer Westfeldt after 18 years: “Things happen.”

She said she doesn’t really care that the actor is back on the market but added, “I’m sure neither one will have a problem” with finding love again.
