Tracee Ellis Ross has no reservations about her body, so when she’s at home, she’s often in the nude.
“I cook naked, and I walk around naked,” the black-ish star, 43, tells PEOPLE. “I’m very comfortable with my body.”
Gaining body confidence was something that came with time for the actress, who posed for PEOPLE’s “Not a Drop of Photoshop” spread. When she starred in Girlfriends in the early 2000s, Ross was hard on herself when she put on some weight.
“It frightened me,” she says.

Ross has now come to a point in her life where the focus of her diet and exercise regimen is her health, rather than her appearance.
“How I looked was important, but my health was more important,” she says.

Ross swears by the Tracy Anderson Method to keep her toned – she’s been adhering to the dance-based workouts for the past five years. And while she’s not in perfect shape, she’s totally fine with that.
“I’m toned, but I’m not cut,” she says. “I like a little jiggle!”
