Teen Mom 2's Leah Messer Denies Accusations of Anorexia: 'Let's Stop with the Shaming'
Teen Mom 2's Leah Messer shuts down body shaming comments asking if she's anorexic
The reality star spoke out Tuesday after Messer’s Instagram followers accused her of being anorexic based on a photo of her in a bikini.
“There is much more to women than our bodies,” Messer told Refinery29 in a statement. “Yet many women seem to continually judge others, not by their character, but by their bodies. There are many more important issues going on in the world today than whether or not I had enough to eat for breakfast. (Side note: I had plenty.)”
“Let’s stop with the shaming, start supporting one another, and focus on what really matters.”

Messer elected to go to rehab for a month in 2015 for depression and anxiety, amid allegations that she had a dependency on prescription drugs. Messer said at the time that she was using pain medicine she received from doctors to deal with back pain after her second pregnancy.
The allegations first came up during a court battle for custody of her twins with their father and her ex-husband, Corey Simms. He eventually won custodial responsibility.
