Riding a bike isn’t easy for Whitney Way Thore.

Thore struggles with a group bicycle ride through a park in an exclusive clip from Wednesday’s episode of My Big Fat Fabulous Life.

“With this bike ride, every single time I pedal it’s uncomfortable, it’s painful, it hurts, and it doesn’t get any easier, because of my ergonomics, because of my body, because of this skin, this fat,” Thore says in the clip while shaking excess skin on her stomach.

Thore breathes heavily and appears nervous while struggling to complete the bike ride.

“There are hills, and it’s not flat,” she explains. “The thought of doing however many miles this is is terrifying. I’m normally really confident, and I feel like I can do pretty much anything I want to do.”

Thore admits that her confidence was shaken after a bad experience while skiing, in which she was unable to control her skis and ended up falling over.

“What happened on the ski slope, I don’t know if that made me a better person, but it made me more of a scared person,” she said. “And I don’t like to do things that threaten my ability to be strong, and to look strong.”

My Big Fat Fabulous Life airs Wednesday nights at 9/8c on TLC.
