Even tech billionaires make New Year’s resolutions!

This year, Mark Zuckerberg wants to run a total 365 miles – and he is encouraging others to make the same goal.

“I have a physical challenge for 2016,” he posted on Facebook Monday. “I’m going to run 365 miles, and I’d love for as many people in this community to join me as possible.”

Zuckerberg, 31, created a public Facebook group for people to share their progress in meeting this goal, and promised to update the group with his own progress as well. The group has over 85,000 members already.

“We’ll call this year’s challenge A Year of Running,” he wrote. “This is a lot of running, but it’s not a crazy amount. It’s a mile a day, and at a moderate pace it’s less than 10 minutes of running per day.”

While Zuckerberg’s fitness challenge may be obtainable, his “personal challenge” for the year may be a little more difficult to duplicate.

“My personal challenge for 2016 is to build a simple AI to run my home and help me with my work,” he posted. “This should be a fun intellectual challenge to code this for myself. I’m looking forward to sharing what I learn over the course of the year.”
