The actress joked about how she felt short and “chubby” standing onstage at Taylor Swift‘s concert in New Jersey last Friday next to the singer and her friends Lily Aldridge, Gigi Hadid and Hailee Steinfeld.
“I was so thrilled to support my friend and so displeased to learn about the truth of my own height,” Dunham, 29, told director Judd Apatow at an event hosted by the Film Society of Lincoln Center on Monday, according to Huffington Post. “I’ve been feeling pretty tall and feeling pretty sturdy, and it was amazing to be, like, ‘Oh, I’m not tall, I’m chubby.’ It’s different.”

The Girls star said that the experience made her more aware of her appearance than usual.
“On most days I feel really great and fine about my body, but I don’t think standing next to, like, three supermodels or so is anything even the most confident woman needs to do,” she quipped. “The minute I caught sight of myself in the Jumbotron, I knew something was very wrong.”
Dunham previously poked fun at her stature in an Instagram post that pictures her strutting onstage with Hadid, Aldrige and Swift.
“But seriously, how did that drug addicted secretary get up there? Or is she a runaway cellist? Oh I know it’s a 7th grade boy who is into tech theater,” she captioned the photo.
