For Khloé Kardashian, sometimes one workout a day just isn’t enough.

“I definitely don’t always do two-a-day workouts, but the reason that I tried them a couple months back was because I really just wanted to shock and challenge my body,” the reality star, 32, wrote on her website and app.

Kardashian – who revealed earlier this year that she has lost 40 lbs. – broke her workouts up into an hour in the morning, and an hour in the evening.

“First thing in the morning, I would do an intense cardio workout, like running hills,” she says. “It would really wake me up for the day.”

“At around 5 or 6 p.m. at night, I would head to the gym to work on building muscles,” she continues. “It wasn’t only weightlifting, but really any workout to build muscle mass.”

Kardashian only did two-a-days for a week because she did not want to cause any injury or harm to her muscles or joints.

“Two-a-day workouts should only be for a very short amount of time,” she explains. “Athletes only do it for two to three weeks before they start their season. It’s definitely not a lifestyle, and it’s way too much on your body to do this for even three months.”

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star decided to do her week of two-a-days leading up to her 32nd birthday.

“I timed the workouts to be right before my birthday because I was going on a vacation and I wanted to feel good – which I did!” she said.

But there was a very Kardashian-style drawback.

“The downside of working out two times a day is that you have to schedule out your showers and makeup!”
