Kesha Shows Off Post-Rehab Look, Drops Dollar Sign from Name
The pop star posted a Twitpic on Friday, two months after entering rehab for eating disorders
Ke$ha is no more. Say hello to Kesha.
The “Timber” singer – who has officially dropped the dollar sign from her name, PEOPLE confirms – recently began reaching out to fans via social media and has posted the first clear picture of herself after completing a two-month stint in rehab for eating disorders.
“Had to go play in the sand,” the pop star wrote on Twitter Friday, attaching a photo of herself kneeling in wet sand and rocking pink hair and a sweater emblazoned with the message “Ima Survivor.”
“Happy to be back! Feeling healthy & working on tons of new music. I can’t thank my fans enough for all the love & support u have given me,” she Tweeted a day earlier.
“She’s doing amazing,” a pal tells PEOPLE of the singer, who was spotted on Friday at Venice hot spot Willie Jane, gathering around with pals as they noshed on burgers and biscuits.
Kesha’s mother, Pebe Sebert, joined her daughter at a Chicago-based rehab center earlier this year, saying she was seeking treatment for “post-traumatic stress disorder” over her daughter’s ongoing struggle with producer Dr. Luke, who she believes exacerbated Kesha’s eating disorder.
