The stars embrace their natural beauty in the latest issue of PEOPLE
Jordin Sparks is all about #nofilter.
In the latest issue of PEOPLE, the American Idol winner is just one of several stars showing off their natural beauty in unretouched photos – something Sparks already celebrates every day.
“For the most part, I don’t put a filter on at all. I post a lot of pictures without makeup and in sweats,” Sparks tells PEOPLE. “I feel like sometimes people can really overkill on the [filters]. There are all these apps out there where you can Photoshop your body and take away everything. I feel like it’s too much.”
A “flaw” the singer, 25, happily embraces? Her stretch marks. “I call them my tiger stripes,” she says. “There’s nothing I can do about them.”
Also featured in this week’s issue is Fuller House star Candace Cameron Bure, 39, who says she is “very particular about Photoshop.”
“I never want to put a false image out there,” the actress says.
The mom of three counts her legs as her favorite body part. “I’ve always had good calves even when I was a little girl,” she says.
As for passing on positive body image to her 16-year-old daughter Natasha, “I would say the same thing to every girl that I say to myself every day,” Cameron Bure says. “We are valuable and we are loved no matter what, so embrace who you are and embrace your curves or no curves. Whatever you have is all yours and nobody else has it embrace that!”
