Chris Harrison will return for his eighth year to host the 2017 Miss America Competition alongside first-time host ESPN commentator Sage Steele

Miss America won’t accept just one rose – she’ll walk walk away with an entire bouquet!

Chris Harrison will return for the eighth year to host 52 young women as they compete for the coveted crown and scholarships in the 2017 Miss America Competition, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

“For 96 years, Miss America has shone light on some of the brightest and most talented young women in the country,” Harrison says in a statement. “This year will surely be a fun-filled night showcasing talent, glamour, fitness, presentation and community achievement as the country’s brightest compete for the crown!”

The Bachelorette host will stand alongside ESPN’s NBA Countdown commentator Sage Steele as a first-time host.

“There’s always such a high level of drama and competitiveness during the Miss America Competition that rivals many sporting events that I’ve covered,” says Steele. “I can’t wait to host alongside Chris Harrison to see what this year brings.”

The legendary pageant will air live from Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall on Sunday, September 11 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
