The Golden Globes are back – and so are the parties!

After the ceremony was canceled last year due to the writers’ strike, the awards season kicks off in earnest this weekend, and PEOPLE has all the details of how the stars will party before, during and after the big show.

It all begins the day before with these Saturday fetes:

Multiple nominee Ralph Fiennes and magazine cover boy is the man of the evening at the Mondrian Hotel’s Skybar. Newly engaged Alyssa Milano, Lisa Rinna, and Joey Fatone are expected to sip VeeV cocktails poolside with Fiennes at the outside soiree.

Open to Disney and Miramax nominees only, this year’s party will be held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The guest list includes nominee Miley Cyrus, who co-wrote a song for the film Bolt.

Then, after the last Golden Globe statue is handed out in NBC’s 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. telecast from the Beverly Hilton’s International Ballroom, party-goers will not have far to venture, with three bashes on the hotel property and one across the street:

The Hilton’s rooftop becomes an ode to the Golden Age of Hollywood complete with black crystal chandeliers and a tent draped with gold silk and black velvet. Nominees Angelina Jolie, Sean Penn, and the The Office cast can also enjoy an ice cream sundae bar and gawk at vintage Cartier jewels, including a 1949 Panther clip brooch made for the Duchess of Windsor.

Ten years running, this year’s French-themed party is set to draw some of the night’s brightest stars including Heidi Klum, Zac Efron, and Kate Winslet. As a 10-piece cowling band provides the evening’s soundtrack, guests can get L’Oreal make-up touch-ups or indulge in the Godiva Gold Lounge boasting chocolate truffle-tinis and chocolate sculptures.

The dashing Entourage cast will feel at home at the “1960’s sexy”-themed bash at Hilton’s poolside Circa 55 restaurant. Lounging amid the groovy banana yellow and chocolate brown décor, guests will sip martinis and champagne in between bites of truffle mac & cheese and beef tenderloin as DJ Qool Mary spins tunes.

Across the street, the Peninsula Hotel’s Verandah Room will be transformed into a golden lounge with plasma screens showing the telecast throughout the room. As for the festive eats, there is a create-your-own sliders station and people can sip on series-inspired drinks. Look out for Best Actor nominee Michael C. Hall drinking a “Bloody Dexter” as David Duchovny enjoys the Californication-inspired Sex on the Beach.
