Stranger Things is up for the outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series award

Stranger Things’ Gaten Matarazzo is ready for the Screen Actor Guild Awards.

Matarazzo took PEOPLE Now inside of his hotel room as he prepped for the big night.

“I can’t wait to see everyone there, I can’t wait to hang out with my buddies,” he said on PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly’s official live pre-show. “It’s going to be a great time.”

Stranger Things is up for the outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series award.

“Let’s hope we win!” said Matarazzo. “We have some very tough competition.”

After getting dressed, Matarazzo, 14, showed off his final look: a sleek black suit with a pair of lucky socks.

“I have my awesome Star Wars socks on,” he said. “Pretty cool.”

Along with best drama ensemble, Millie Bobbie Brown and Winona Ryder are competing against each other for outstanding performance by a female actor in a drama series.

The 23rd annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will air live on Sun., Jan. 29, 2017 at 8 p.m. ET. on TNT and TBS.
