Hollywood’s most glamorous stars honored independent films on Saturday when they attended the 2015 Independent Spirit Awards in LA. The annual award show, which was hosted by Kristen Bell and Fred Armisen, offers an indie alternative to Sunday night’s Oscars, even though many of the top awards go to Academy Award nominees.

Julianne Moore, J.K. Simmons and Patricia Arquette all took home top acting awards, which all but cements their chances of taking home an Oscar on Sunday. Meanwhile, Michael Keaton nabbed the best male lead award, making his race against fellow Oscar nominee Eddie Redmayne even more tight. (Redmayne was not nominated for a Spirit Award).
