Mysterious pop star Sia showed her face at Elton John’s Oscars party on Sunday.

The secretive Australian singer, who tends to cover her face in public, started her night at the Oscars viewing party, which benefits the Elton John AIDS Foundation. There, she hung out with Heidi Klum and Beck while wearing a yellow print dress and leggings – her face was in full view and her hair was pulled back into a bun.

However, by the time the star, 39, hit the red carpet for the Vanity Fair Oscar party, she was shrouded once again. She covered up with a blond wig-mask and a hat to coordinate with her nude cape and trousers.

Sia has said that the pressures of being in the public eye once drove her to addiction. After considering suicide, she became sober and decided to write songs instead of perform.

“There’s a negative side of being famous. It’s not easy being in the spotlight,” said her longtime friend and co-producer Greg Kurstin. “She got to a place where she wanted to look out for her best health and what’s best for her as a person. She wanted to be more in control of her life.”
