Whenever Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay get together, you know it’s going to be good.

Larson, 26, and her 9-year-old Room costar and bestie took the stage at the Screen Actors Guild Awards Saturday in Los Angeles, and of course, it was adorable.

“It’s award season, I’ve been working the circuit,” Tremblay said.

“I can still remember the first time I got nominated for a SAG award, I was only 9 years old, and I was competing against Batman,” he added, quipping about his nomination and being up against The Big Short‘s Christian Bale.

“That was this year, Jacob, you’re 9 years old right now,” Larson said, before prompting him to rip open the envelope.

Though he didn’t win the award (it went to Idris Elba for Beasts of No Nation), Tremblay’s already won our hearts – and he’s enjoying quite the star-studded evening.

“There’s gonna be Leonardo DiCaprio here. There could be tons of people here,” Temblay said on the red carpet before the show started. “I’m excited to meet him.”

The 22nd annual SAG Awards will being presented live from Los Angeles on both TNT and TBS.
