Once upon a time, Bryan Cranston was on Baywatch

The actor couldn’t help but feel a bit nostalgic when he was reminded of one of his first TV appearances on Saturday night at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Cranston, 59, started crying-laughing when he was shown a clip from his days on Baywatch.

“Wow. I don’t understand how that could have been overlooked for the Emmy or the SAG awards,” he told E! as he wiped away tears from laughing. “It brings a tear to my eye every time. My goodness.”

“The scene on the boat, no, I believe my secret for that character was that he had diarrhea,” he joked. “I was on real water and I was seasick. Thanks for digging that up.”

Cranston has certainly come a long way since his days as a bad-boy boat captain. The actor is currently nominated for a SAG award for outstanding performance by a male actor in a leading role for his turn in Trumbo.

But after seeing that, we might have to petition for him to have a guest role in the upcoming movie adaption of Baywatch.
