House of Cards star Kevin Spacey won the award for outstanding performance by a male actor in a drama series at the SAG Awards Sunday, beating out some serious competition in the category.

Also nominated were Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire, HBO), Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones, HBO), Woody Harrelson (True Detective, HBO) and Matthew McConaughey (True Detective, HBO).

The award was presented by Eric Dane and Emmy Rossum.

Spacey wasn’t able to attend the ceremony, so Dane and Rossum accepted the award on his behalf.

The 21st annual SAG Awards, which recognize outstanding film and TV performances over the previous year by the union’s members, were broadcast live Sunday from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and aired on TNT and TBS.
