Get ready for another round of jokes from Ricky Gervais. The British funnyman will take on hosting duties at the Golden Globes in 2011, his second year in a row as the show’s emcee.

Gervais broke the news on Ryan Seacrest‘s 102.7 KIIS-FM radio show Wednesday morning, admitting he was shocked to find out that he was invited back to helm the awards show.

“I suppose it is flattering, to be honest, and it was a surprise,” Gervais, 48, told Seacrest. “I had so much fun [last year].”

The comedian, who, during the 2010 ceremony, cracked some jokes “thinking I’d never be invited back,” says he’s taking a different approach to his hosting duties this year.
