She’s a record-breaking chart-topper and Nashville’s reining princess, but now Taylor Swift is nominated for the ultimate honor in country music: Entertainer of the Year.

Swift is the first solo female artist to be nominated since Faith Hill received the honor in 2000. And, she’ll have to prove she can play with the big boys as she faces off against four-time and current winner Kenny Chesney, plus superstars Brad Paisley, Keith Urban and George Strait for the prize Wednesday night at the 43rd Annual CMA Awards.

Winning would undoubtedly cap off a spectacular year for the young star, but does she have what it takes?
