Olivia Wilde thinks the 2016 Oscars are in the hands of the right man.

The actress tells PEOPLE on the red carpet before the Los Angeles ceremony on Sunday that she thinks host Chris Rock is the perfect person to make some “sociopolitical comments tonight” in regard to the #OscarsSoWhite controversy.

“I feel like everyone’s really excited to see Chris Rock,” Wilde, 31, says. “I’m so excited for that, myself.”

She says that Rock “should” and “will” address the nominations backlash because, “That’s Chris’ style.”

“He’s honest,” says Wilde while wearing white Valentino Haute Couture. “I’m so happy he’s the one to be here.”
