Kristen Stewart became the first American ever to win a César Award – the French equivalent of an Oscar – on Friday, and no one is more proud than her dear old dad.

Speaking to PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly editorial director Jess Cagle on the Oscars red carpet Saturday, John Stewart said, “I was proud when she got the nomination, but I was just floored when I was standing right on this very stage rehearsing and had about 100 people come and tell me that she won.”

That’s right – Stewart’s dad is at the Oscars, as he’s served as stage manager for the Oscars Red Carpet Live pre-show (and various other awards shows and variety programs) throughout the years. Cagle is appearing on ABC’s Oscars Red Carpet Live Sunday night with Robin Roberts, Michael Strahan and Lara Spencer and Joe Zee, whom he interviews in his latest video blog (above).

Zee, Yahoo!’s fashion editor, tells Cagle he’s most excited to see Best Actress nominee Julianne Moore on the red carpet. “She’s always flawless, and she’s going to take home the gold, so I want her to show up in something fabulous, too,” he says.

Oscars Red Carpet Live airs at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday night, Feb. 22, on ABC.
