Birdman has won the 2015 Oscar for Best Cinematography.

Cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki accepted the award and said, “I want to thank the Academy for this honor and the cast, crew and nominees.”

The other four nominees in this year’s best cinematography lineup were Unbroken, Ida, Mr. Turner and The Grand Budapest Hotel.

This is Birdman‘s first win of the night.

The 2015 Oscars, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris from the Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center in Los Angeles, are airing live on ABC.
