So just how much did the Oscar host lose to his savvy little lady?

And the winner is not Neil Patrick Harris!

While Oscar oddsmakers are ramping up predictions for this year’s top champs after Thursday’s nominations, the show’s host has already found himself smarting from an early losing streak – after going toe-to-toe with his daughter.

Shortly after the nominations were announced, the star, 41, posted a video in which he revealed that he lost an Oscar bet to little Harper, 4, who seems to have gotten a head start on playing awards pundit.

“The Oscar nominations just came out this morning, and that can only mean one thing: I just lost 20 bucks,” he says to the camera before it pans to a beaming Harper, who then snaps up her prize cash with a victorious “Thank you.”

Not to worry: The actor’s plunging Oscar stock has rebounded swiftly with the release of his latest promo spot for the awards show.

In it, Harris polishes up what appears to be a supersized Oscar statue while standing on a ladder only to reveal that there’s more than meets the eye.

Harris no doubt has more tricks up his sleeve when he takes the stage to host the kudos-fest, which will air live on Sunday, Feb. 22, at 7 p.m. ET on ABC.
